About me.
I enjoy running marathons and am currently on a quest to run a marathon in every state. I want to help others have a better marathon experience by sharing what I’ve learned along the way.

Marathon Methodology
When planning to travel to an upcoming marathon, I prioritize three things:
– Public Transportation Options: I try to choose marathons that don’t require driving – specifically driving to the marathon start or finish location. An added bonus is if I don’t have to drive to and from the airport to the hotel or race – this cuts costs significantly.
– Lodging Proximity to Race: I look for a hotel located close to the marathon start or finish. Preference is given to hotels that are within walking distance of the race, but taking a metro or bus are also good options.
– Reasonable budget: I prefer to find races that are close to major airports to reduce the cost of transportation – both air and road travel. I do prefer nice hotels but try to limit the nightly rate to under $250 when possible.
